Twins Falter Late In Loss To White Sox

(Chicago, IL) — The Twins gave up a pair of late runs during a 6-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. The game was tied at four before Eloy Jimenez hit a go-ahead single for Chicago in the bottom of the seventh. Billy Hamilton scored from second on a ground out in the next inning to extend the Southsiders’ lead. Nick Gordon homered for the second day in a row in the losing effort, and Griffin Jax was charged with his third loss in relief. The Twins remain first in the AL Central at 17-and-14. Pablo Lopez takes the mound for Minnesota against Chicago this afternoon.
