Twins Get Blanked By Mariners

(Seattle, WA) — The Twins weren’t able to figure out George Kirby during a 5-0 loss to the Mariners in Seattle. The Twins struck out ten times and tallied just four hits in seven innings against the M’s ace. Matt Wallner had two hits in the losing effort, and Pablo Lopez was charged with his sixth loss after giving up two runs on six hits in five innings. The Twins still hold a two-game lead over Cleveland in the AL Central race with a 50-and-48 record. They send Joe Ryan to the mound against the White Sox tonight.
