Twins Implode In Ninth

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins surrendered four runs in the top of the ninth during a 10-6 loss to the Seattle Mariners at Target Field. The game was tied at six entering the inning after Max Kepler scored the game-tying run on an Austin Martin single in the bottom of the eighth. Jorge Alcala was charged with the loss in relief after giving up all four runs in the ninth, while Ryan Jeffers hit a three-run homer in the losing effort. Minnesota remains in second place in the AL Central at 20-and-15. The Twins send Chris Paddack to the mound against the M’s tonight.
