Twins Ink Carlos Santana

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are adding some more power to their line-up. The team signed first baseman Carlos Santana to a one-year deal on Friday. The contract is worth five-and-a-quarter million dollars. The 37-year-old played with both Pittsburgh and Milwaukee last season. He hit .240 with 23 home runs and 86 RBI in 146 games. In other team news, the Twins signed relief pitcher Jay Jackson to a one-year deal yesterday.
