Twins Sweep D-Backs On Wallner’s Walk-Off

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins are on a four-game winning streak after walking off the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3 at Target Field. The D-Backs took a one-run lead in the top of the ninth when Christian Walker hit a solo home run, but Max Kepler went deep to tie the game on Paul Sewald’s first pitch of the next half-inning. Matt Wallner crushed a two-run walk-off shot two batters later. The Twins extended their AL Central lead to four-and-a-half games over Cleveland at 59-and-54. Pablo Lopez takes the hill against Detroit tonight. In other team news, the Twins placed designated hitter Byron Buxton on the ten-day injured list over the weekend.
