Twins Take Down Royals

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins hit a pair of home runs during a 7-1 win over the Kansas City Royals at Target Field. Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa went back-to-back in the bottom of the fourth to break the game open. Brock Stewart earned the win in relief after Tyler Mahle left the game after the fourth inning with an injury. The Twins have won four of their last five games. They’re in first place in the AL Central at 15-and-11, and they send Pablo Lopez to the mound against Kansas City tonight. In other club news, Minnesota activated relief pitcher Josh Winder from the 15-day injured list yesterday.
