(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are adding another weapon on offense. The Purple signed tight end Robert Tonyan to a contract for the 2024 season. Tonyan is entering his seventh season in the NFL. He had a career year in 2020 when he caught 11 touchdowns with the Green Bay Packers, but he caught just 11 balls for 112 yards and no scores with the Bears last season. The Vikings starting tight end TJ Hockenson suffered a season-ending injury at the end of 2023, and the team isn’t sure whether he’ll be recovered when the 2024 season kicks off in September.
