Vikings Suffer First Loss

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings crumbled during crunch time of their 31-29 loss against the Detroit Lions at US Bank Stadium.

Ivan Pace Jr. helped Minnesota overcome an 11-point deficit by returning a fumble 36 yards for a touchdown in the middle of the fourth quarter, but Jake Bates hit a go-ahead field goal with 15 seconds left in regulation to give Detroit the win. Sam Darnold had 259 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in the losing effort.

The Purple are tied for first place in the NFC North at 5-and-1. Minnesota goes up against the Rams on Thursday.
