Vikings Super Bowl Quarterback Joe Kapp Dies

(Undated) — The quarterback who led the Vikings to their first Super Bowl in 1969 is dead. Joe Kapp passed away after a 15-year battle with dementia at age 85. He played only three seasons in Minnesota and played one more year with the Patriots to finish his NFL career. Kapp later became the head football coach at the University of California in 1982.
