(Atlanta, GA) — The Minnesota Vikings will have Jaren Hall starting under center for the first time in his NFL career when the Purple visit the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday. The rookie gun-slinger is replacing Kirk Cousins, who tore his Achilles tendon in Minnesota’s 24-10 win over Green Bay in Week Eight. Hall will have to show off his skill-set quickly with former Cardinals quarterback Joshua Dobbs now waiting to take over after being acquired by the 4-and-4 Vikings earlier this week.
Hall completed three of his four pass attempts for 23 yards in relief of Cousins last weekend, but he also lost a fumble. Defensive end Dean Lowry was the only player to miss practice with an injury yesterday. Sunday’s game kicks off at noon.
Also a pair of Vikings players are being recognized for their strong performances in October. The NFL named wide receiver Jordan Addison the Offensive Rookie of the Month and gave the NFC Defensive Player of the Month to Danielle Hunter. Addison hauled in 23 catches for 297 yards and five touchdowns during the month while helping fill in for an injured Justin Jefferson. Hunter had two forced fumbles and five sacks to go along with 18 tackles in five games. The pair led the Vikings to a 4-and-1 record during October.
