Wallstedt’s Shaky Debut Dooms Wild

(Dallas, TX) — Jesper Wallstedt had a less-than-stellar NHL debut as the Minnesota Wild lost to the Dallas Stars 7-2 at American Airlines Center. Wallstedt stopped just 27 of the 34 shots he faced, and he surrendered four goals in the third period. Matt Boldy and Ryan Hartman each lit the lamp in the losing effort. Minnesota remains in seventh place in the Central Division with 38 points and a 17-19-and-4 record. The Wild host Philly tomorrow.
