Wild Beat Ottawa With Late Goal

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild came through in the clutch during a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators at the Xcel Energy Center. Mason Shaw and Matt Boldy scored early in the game to give Minnesota a 2-0 lead before Ottawa tied things up with goals from Drake Batherson and Jakob Chychrun [[ CHIHK-ruhn ]]. However, Vinni Lettieri [[ luh-TAYR-ee ]] lit the lamp with less than seven minutes left in regulation to give the Wild the win. Minnesota is six points back of Los Angeles for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Senators remain at the bottom of the Atlantic Division.
