Wild Lose Fifth Straight

(Stockholm, Sweden) — The Minnesota Wild are coming home from Sweden without a win. The Wild lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime 4-3 at Avicii Arena yesterday. Minnesota trailed 3-1 early in the third period, but they tied things up with goals from Jake Middleton and Mats Zuccarello. However, William Nylander netted the game-winner in the fourth minute of overtime to give Toronto the win. Jon Merrill also had a goal in the losing effort. The Wild are in sixth-place in the Central Division with 14 points and a 5-8-and-4 record. Minnesota hosts Colorado on Friday.
