Wild Take Down Capitals

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild are on a three-game winning streak following a 5-3 win over the Washington Capitals at the Xcel Energy Center. Brock Faber and Marcus Foligno both scored in the first period, and Marcus Johansson gave the Wild a 3-0 lead with a goal early in the second period. Washington added a goal before the third, but Johansson and Joel Eriksson Ek put the game away with goals in the final frame. The Wild have 47 points and a 21-21-and-5 record. Minnesota hosts Nashville tomorrow night.
