Yankees’ Domingo German Throws Fourth Perfect Game In Team History

(Oakland, CA) — Domingo German threw the 24th perfect game in MLB history as the Yankees shut out the A’s 11-nothing in Oakland. German needed only 99 pitches to record the first perfect game since Felix Hernandez in 2012. The righthander struck out nine and earned his fifth win of the season. Giancarlo Stanton homered and drove in three runs for New York. It’s the fourth perfect game in franchise history. German joins Don Larsen, David Wells and David Cone as the four Yankees’ pitchers to achieve perfection.
