(Marmarth, ND) — Two young North Dakota brothers and their cousin are making national headlines after discovering a T-Rex fossil in The Badlands. The boys found the fossil while on a hike through land owned by the Bureau of Land Management near Marmarth in 2022. They publicly announced the discovery this week as staff at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science prepare to begin the process of removing the fossil from its rock cast. The fossil will be featured in a special museum exhibit called “Discovering Teen Rex”, which will open on June 21st during the debut of the film “T.REX”, which is about the boys’ discovery of the fossil.
