Mandan Woman Accused Of Scissors Attack Committed To State Hospital

(Mandan, ND) — A Mandan woman who’s accused of trying to stab her neighbor to death with a pair of sewing shears has been committed to the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown. The stabbing happened last year, and Sabrina Kraus was arrested after an hours-long SWAT standoff. A judge has ruled that Krause should be sent to the hospital for up to 15 years rather than face a trial, citing her mental health disorder. Several criminal charges against Kraus will be dismissed.
