(Bismarck, ND) — The Secretary of State’s Office has approved the petition for legalizing recreational marijuana in North Dakota. This means supporters of the measure can start collecting signatures to get the proposal on the ballot. Proponents have one year to collect 15-thousand-five-hundred-and eighty-two valid signatures. The signatures have to be turned in by midnight on July 8th, and the earliest the measure could appear on the ballot is November 5th.
