NDDEQ Issues Warning About Blue-Green Algae

(Bismarck, ND) — As we approach the hot summer months, the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality is issuing warnings about blue-green algae. The toxic algae grows in warm, calm waters, and it can make you sick and can be deadly to pets. Experts say to avoid any bodies of water that have what looks like green cottage cheese or grass clippings floating in it. If your pet comes into contact with suspected blue-green algae, you should wash them off immediately.
