Bison Track & Field to Host NDSU Spring Classic this Friday

The North Dakota State women’s and men’s track & field teams will host the NDSU Spring Classic this Friday, April 5, after a change to the schedule this week.

South Dakota State and North Dakota will join the Bison for Friday’s meet at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex on campus.

Field events are scheduled to start with the hammer throw at 11 a.m., the long jump at noon, and the javelin and pole vault at 1 p.m. Running events will begin at 2 p.m., with a more complete time schedule to be announced later in the week following meet entries being finalized.

NDSU currently has five athletes ranked in the Top 25 on the NCAA performance lists for the outdoor season: Paul Olson (16th – decathlon), Jarod White (18th – pole vault), Kendra Kelley (23rd – 200m), Nell Graham (25th – 400m), and Matt Kraft (25th – javelin).

The Bison men and women have both won 14 Summit League outdoor team titles in 15 seasons since joining the league in 2008.
