(Bismarck, ND) — A man who shot at police officers during a high-speed pursuit in Bismarck last April has been sentenced to 16 years and eight months years in prison. Officials say Kyle Johnson took off when police tried to pull him over on warrants, firing a gun, weaving in and out of traffic, and forcing other drivers off the road in the process. He crashed after hitting spike strips and was shot in the hand by officers after he stepped out of the vehicle with a gun, which he pointed at his own head at one point. He earlier pleaded guilty to multiple gun and drug charges.
