Fargo Schools Defiant On Trans Bill, Other Districts Waiting

(Fargo, ND) — Fargo Schools will not be enforcing the state’s new law prohibiting students from using the bathroom coinciding with the gender they identify with. Governor Burgum signed the bill into law earlier this week and superintendent, Dr. Rupak Gandhi, spoke out against it almost immediately. Now the Fargo School Board has officially stated they will not enforce the law out of caution and protection for students. Other districts, including Minot Public Schools, are awaiting further guidance from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.
