(Pierre, SD) — A civil lawsuit is being filed against Governor Noem for her participation in a Texas dental advertisement. She recently posted a video on her X account giving a nearly five-minute testimony for Smile Texas, a dental practice based outside of Houston. Travelers United, a consumer watchdog group, filed the lawsuit arguing the video is misleading an deceptive advertising. The non-profit organization claims Noem is a social media influencer and that she was either paid or given free or reduced-cost medical services in exchange for the post. Travelers United is wanting Noem to make a corrective disclosure.
