Report: Amazon In Talks With Disney About ESPN Partnership

(Los Angeles, CA) — Amazon is reportedly talking with Disney about acquiring a stake in ESPN. A report from “The Information” says Amazon’s discussions with Disney have been centered on developing a full, direct-to-consumer version of ESPN, but that the talks are “preliminary.” The report says Verizon has also been in talks with Disney about forming an ESPN partnership, which is something Disney CEO Bob Iger recently said is “not a matter of if, but when.”
