Star Blueliner Verbally Commits To UND

(Grand Forks, ND) — The recruitment of hockey standout Sam Laurila is over. The high school junior defenseman from Moorhead, Minnesota has been heavily recruited for months but yesterday he gave his verbal commitment to UND. Laurila credited the coaching staff, the facilities and the development of players as reasons he wanted to play for the Fighting Hawks. He will play for the U.S. Under-18 Team this season.
