Certain Crimes On The Rise In Bismarck

(Bismarck, ND) — Statistics show a spike in certain types crimes in North Dakota’s capital city of Bismarck. An annual police report shows that incidents of murder, assault, car theft, and non-violent family crimes have increased in recent years. The city saw six murders last year, compared to two murders in 2021. Motor vehicle theft jumped from eighty-three cases in 2021 to two-hundred-and six last year. However, the city is also seeing a decrease in arrests, with a nineteen percent drop in arrests in 2022.
