Driver Accused Of Killing Teen Enters Plea

(Foster County, ND) — The man accused of running down a teenager in his vehicle last summer is pleading guilty to manslaughter. Forty-two-year-old Shannon Brandt of McHenry was accused of intentionally hitting 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson with his SUV back in September. The two had reportedly gotten into a political argument prior to the incident. A lawyer for Brandt contends it was accidental and that Brandt was trying to get away from Ellingson and others.
