(Grand Forks, ND) — One person is injured after an accident involving a train outside of Grand Forks. It happened early yesterday morning along 47th Avenue South at the crossing in the 55-hundred block. The 60-year-old driver of a Chevy Silverado was eastbound on 47th when he hit the front end of the lead engine of an Amtrak train. The driver sustained only minor injuries and his passenger was uninjured.
