Road Work Begins On State Street, Bismarck Expressway

(Bismarck, ND) — Crews began on three road work projects in Bismarck that will last through the summer. Construction begins today on a one-point-six mile section on State Street, a four-mile stretch on the Bismarck Expressway, and two blocks on Washington Street. State Street will be down to two lanes on either side between Divide and Calgary Avenues, with speeds of 25-to-30 miles per hour. The Expressway will be down to one lane in each direction between Washington and Seventh Streets. And on Washington Street, the two blocks from Ivy to West Denver Avenues will get a facelift. Workers will be pouring new asphalt, and improving the sidewalks, medians and signals.
