(Helena, MT) — Governor Gianforte is signing bills into law that his office says “defend life.” Gianforte put his signature on five bills yesterday related to abortion access in the Treasure State, including one banning the procedure after 24 weeks. Another allows for providers to reject certain healthcare services based on “conscience.” During a signing ceremony, Gianforte said these bills are “pro-family, pro-child, pro-life” and “will make a lasting difference” in the Treasure State. He also noted another handful of bills related to his abortion are on their way to his desk.
