PSC Criticizes NorthWestern, Claims It Has Denied Information

(Helena, MT) — The Montana Public Service Commission claims NorthWestern Energy is refusing to provide requested information. President James Brown made the comment during a meeting yesterday, calling it “concerning” and “problematic.” The Daily Montanan reports the commissioners approved a review of the utility’s energy plan over the long-term. It comes after NorthWestern received the go-ahead to raise rates for customers and small businesses. The move pushed rates up by 24 percent after Northwestern originally asked for a boost of 28 percent.
