Tyson Cutting Remaining South Dakota Employees

(Dakota Dunes, SD) — Tyson Foods is planning to lay off the two-hundred-62 remaining employees at its Dakota Dunes office. Tyson vice president of human resources Jamison Smith made a notice that the move will be made by the end of July. The company announced plans in October of 2022 to move corporate employees from the company’s Chicago and Dakota Dunes offices to their world headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. Smith’s notice under the South Dakota Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act website indicates many of the employees refused to move to the new headquarters.
