Unique Skate Park Coming To Sioux Falls

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A new state-of-the-art skate park is about to break ground this summer at Nelson Park. The Barb Iverson Skate Plaza will cost two-and-a-half million dollars and is expected to open in the spring of 2024. Let’s Skate was able to raise one-point-seven million dollars for the project and the Department of Parks and Recreation is giving eight-hundred-thousand. The new park will be built north of the swimming pool on Cliff Avenue and set up as a “street style” skate with bowls, ramps, rails and stairs.
