NDSU Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State soccer and head coach Michael Regan have announced the release of the full 2023 fall schedule, which features 18 regular season games and 12 games in Fargo at Dacotah Field.

The Bison will open up the year with a pair of exhibition games, first traveling to Minnesota on Aug. 7, before welcoming in Manitoba to Fargo on Aug. 14.

Three days later, the Bison will open up the regular season with the first of three-straight non-conference games at home, beginning with Boise State on Aug. 17, before hosting Montana and Austin Peay. It will be the second-ever meeting with Austin Peay.

NDSU will hit the road for the first time during the regular season on Aug. 27, traveling to Des Moines, Iowa to take on Drake. The Bison will then take off for South Carolina, as NDSU closes out the month of August at Coastal Carolina in Conway. NDSU will wrap up the South Carolina trip in Charleston, facing The Citadel. The match ups with Coastal Carolina and The Citadel will be the first in program history.

The Bison then return to Dacotah Field for the final three non-conference match ups of the season, hosting Northern Colorado, Creighton, and a first-ever match up with Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Summit League schedule will feature a new format in 2023, with league games being played on Thursday and Sunday. However, the Bison will open up league play against North Dakota on Saturday, Sept. 23 in a special 2 p.m. kickoff.

The Bison will then host Kansas City and Oral Roberts. Thursday night games in league play at Dacotah Field will be played at 6:30 p.m., with Sunday afternoon games set for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

NDSU hits the road for the first time in league play on Oct. 5, as they travel to St. Thomas in Minnesota before heading to Macomb to face Western Illinois. The Bison then return to Fargo for games on Oct. 12 and 15, hosting Denver before wrapping up the home schedule against Omaha.

The Bison wrap up the regular season in South Dakota, facing South Dakota in Vermillion before the regular season finale against South Dakota State on Oct. 22 in Brookings.

The Summit League Championship will follow the next two weeks. The Quarterfinal round will feature the four lowest seeds on Oct. 27, at the sight of the top-two seeds. The semifinal round will be hosted by the top two seeds on Oct. 29, with the Championship game being held on Nov. 4 at the highest seed.
