Twins Get Walked Off In Tenth

(Chicago, IL) — The Twins opened up their mid-week series against the Chicago White Sox with a 3-2 loss in ten innings at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Southsiders were up by one in the eighth inning before Nick Gordon hit a game-tying pinch-hit home run to force extras. Caleb Thielbar gave up a two-out walk-off single to Andrew Benintendi in the bottom of the tenth, and he was charged with his first loss out of the pen. Minnesota remain first in the AL Central at 17-and-13. Louie Varland mans the rubber for the Twins against the White Sox tonight.
