Twins Rally In 12th To Avoid Sweep Against White Sox

(Chicago, IL) — The Twins put up five runs during the 12th inning in a 7-3 win over the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. Chicago took an early 2-0 lead when Eloy Jimenez hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the third, but Carlos Correa went deep in the sixth and Byron Buxton tied the game with a home run in the eighth to send the game to extras. During the 12th inning outburst, Nick Gordon, Correa, and Jorge Polanco all drove in at least one run to lead Minnesota to victory. Emilio Pagan picked up his second as the Twins snapped a two-game losing streak. Minnesota is still first in the AL Central at 18-and-14. Minnesota sends Bailey Ober to the mound against the Guardians tonight.
