(Beulah, ND) — Talon Metals is moving forward with its plan to build a new nickel processing plant in Beulah. The Senate and the U.S. Department of Energy recently approved 115-million-dollars for the plan, and Beulah city leaders discussed the plan at their latest commission meeting. The company hopes to use nickel mined in Minnesota and process it to be used in electric cars. The processed nickel will then be sent to a Tesla plant in Texas. It’s not yet known where in Beulah the plant will be built, but it’s expected to employ 155 new workers.
