(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office is warning folks of another phone scam going around. Officials say scammers who are using their front desk phone number and are impersonating a real employee, Captain Adam Zishka. According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, the scammers are claiming they are investigating identity theft and money laundering with the name of a “Sargeant Zishka.” People are advised to never provide information over the phone. The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office says if something seems off with the call, they recommend hanging up and calling the office to verify.
