Missing Hand County Teen Found Dead

(Miller, SD) — The missing teen in Hand County has been found dead. After an extensive search since Sunday, 17-year-old Wyatt Rowland’s body was recovered by search crews yesterday around 1 p.m. The Hand County Sheriff’s office says he was found in a small body of water north of Miller near his pickup truck which was discovered Monday night. It was the same area as the last ping from his cell phone early Sunday morning. Rowland hadn’t been seen since Saturday night when he was with friends in Miller but never made it home. Hand County Sheriff Shane Croeni says the help from law enforcement agencies and about a hundred volunteers were crucial in the search.
