$1 Million Bond For Bismarck Attempted Murder Suspect

(Bismarck, ND) — The man charged in the brutal home invasion assault and attempted murder of a Bismarck woman has had his bond set at 1-million-dollars. Police say Edward Harper Jr followed the woman home last week, entered through an unlocked door, sexually assaulted her, beat her, and tried to kill her. She was able to call police after he fell asleep in another room. Harper is charged with attempted murder, gross sexual imposition by force, burglary, felonious restraint, and terrorizing. His request to be released into psychiatric care has been denied, and he faces up to life in prison if convicted.
