Search Warrants Give More Information About Blue Earth County Dog Shooting

(Mankato, MN) — Search warrants are revealing more information about a dog shooting that happened last month in Blue Earth County. The county sheriff’s office announced earlier this week that they have identified a suspect in the March 30th shooting. Search warrants filed on Tuesday show that investigators are focusing on the actions of a neighbor who reportedly admitted to leaving threatening notes at several homes telling dog owners to keep their pets from barking. The suspect works for the U.S. Postal Service and reportedly has been the subject of complaints regarding notes he has left with customers on his route. The search warrants show that several firearms were found in his home, and the sheriff’s office is examining the dead dog to discover more about the gun used in the crime.
