Wet Weather Expected Through Early May

(Pierre, SD) — Wet weather is expected to stay in the forecast for the first half of May. Showers and storms will be prevalent for many parts of South Dakota over the next week. Most of the state typically gets over three-and-a-half inches of rainfall on average in the month of May. Some areas are projected to half that just this week. The heaviest of the incoming rain is likely to come Sunday night into Monday that could bring a chance of severe weather.
