Jamestown Man Changes Plea In Cyclist Death

(Jamestown, ND) — An elderly Jamestown man will be sentenced in September for hitting and killing a bicyclist. Seventy-nine-year-old James Lees changed his plea to guilty of negligent homicide this week in the death of Timothy St. John a year ago. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Lees hit St. John on State Highway 20 near Jamestown and left the scene. Lees did return to the scene but found St. John dead.
