Loans Approved For Two Proposed Fertilizer Plants

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Industrial Commission has approved forgivable loans to a pair of proposed fertilizer plant projects. This comes after state lawmakers provided 125-million dollars last year as a loan to fund projects that manufacture fertilizer through hydrogen electrolysis. The Clean Sustainable Energy Authority recommended dividing the 125-million dollars. The Prairie Horizon Hydrogen Facility in Stark County was given 75-million dollars, while a proposed plant near the Spiritwood Energy Park in Jamestown received 50-million. Governor Burgum hopes the fertilizer will be sold locally to North Dakotans.
