Man Injured In Crash After Fleeing Traffic Stop

(Stanley, ND) — A man has been injured in a crash after he fled a traffic stop. The incident began near Stanley on Saturday, when a police officer tried pull over Montana resident Sidney Bowman, who sped away on U.S. Highway 2. The chase reportedly reached speeds over 100-miles-per-hour until Bowman entered a construction zone, where his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a bridge guardrail. Bowman was taken to Trinity Health in Minot to be treated for serious injuries, and he’s being charged with multiple weapons violations, driving under revocation, reckless endangerment, DUI, and fleeing a peace officer.
