SOS OKs Petition Format To Eliminate Property Taxes

(Bismarck, ND) — Supporters to eliminate property taxes in North Dakota can now circulate petitions to put the measure before the voters. Approval of the measure would change the state constitution to prohibit the levying of such taxes. The state would be responsible for making up the lost revenue. The Office of the Secretary of State says over 31-thousand valid signatures must be submitted either next February to get on the June 2024 primary ballot or by June 29th to be placed on the November 2024 ballot.
