September Sobriety Checkpoints Announced

(Pierre, SD) — September sobriety checkpoints are coming. South Dakota Department of Public Safety announced its plans this week. There will be 20 checkpoints next month in 15 different counties. The counties include Lake/Moody, Minnehaha, Pennington and Beadle. The monthly checkpoints are designed to encourage people to not drink and drive. Officials want to remind drivers not to drink and drive regardless of whether there is a checkpoint planned in their county.
